When I am reading, I hate bland/ technical writing. To read something with no personality, whether by choice or not, is boring for me. I understand maybe for science related subjects, that would be more acceptable, or even a historical document, sure, but that is about it.

But if the text is an extremely formal for a casual subject, or the writer seems too detached or monotonous, I lose the stamina to continue reading. If the author doesn’t care, why should I?

I also despise short, and simple sentences. ‘I went outside.I looked up. I blinked. It was hot.” It is very repetitive and uninteresting.
